The third and final SCHOOL YEARS writing prompts are a general summary.
Overall, how will you remember your school years? What lessons did you learn that were not found in a textbook or learned in the classroom? What would you like your grandchildren and their children to know about your time in school? By the way...I love comments. Feel free to share your ideas in the comments below!

Did you participate in the previous writing prompt? If so, then you have some facts about your school-years recorded in your journal (or wherever you like to document these things).
As you wrote some of these details down, did any significant memories of your school-years come to mind? This prompt is to pick a story or two and write about those. Perhaps you have a fun memory of a favorite teacher or childhood friend. Maybe you have a story of an obstacle you overcame in school or sports. Maybe something not so fun came to mind--it's okay to write about that, too. Your story is important. I hope you'll write it down. Future generations will be glad you did. Class is in Session! The kids are headed back to school this week in our house. In honor of this, I thought I would give you some back-to-school themed writing prompts. This post focuses on some of the facts you recall. I like to have people start with making a list of the facts, because often that will jog your memory with some good stories to share! So grab your journal and a pen and make a list: ![]() |
Welcome to a page of my journal....a place where I will randomly post stories that document my life, and some tips for helping you to document yours.
